Are you feeling your baby clock ticking and wondering when is the best time to get pregnant? Well here is a Smart Tip that will have you on your way to Babyville! On average, a woman has her menstrual period for 3-7 days and an average length of a woman’s cycle is 28-32 days. Ovulation will occur sometime between the 7th and 20th day of your cycle. You start counting from the first day of bleeding. You may start to notice changes in your cervical mucus just before ovulation. There are also some great ovulation and cycle tracker apps available for your mobile phone and computer to help even the busiest of women track their cycle and determine their ovulation date. A man’s sperm can live for up to 4 days inside a woman’s reproductive tract and it takes approximately 10 hours for sperm to be ready to penetrate an egg. A woman’s egg has approximately 12 hours from the moment of ovulation to become fertilized, so the best time to have intercourse for pregnancy is 2-4 days prior to ovulation. Happy baby making! My name is Jennifer Kelly with CompleteWellnessStartsHere.com, thanks for taking the time to watch my Smart Tip on the best time to get pregnant.
